"Gotta Love The Holidays", a collection of ten classic and newly-recorded Yuletide songs from such acclaimed artists as Elton John, Barry Manilow, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion and amazing new singing star Michael Buble, will be released Dec. 9 on Warner Bros. Records, just in time for Christmas.
A portion of the proceeds from the album, which features the new original song "Gotta Love The Holidays" by singer Shawn King with a special appearance by saxophonist Kenny G., as well as renditions of such beloved favorites as "White Christmas," "Silent Night," "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" and a spoken rendition of "T'was The Night Before Christmas" from renowned actress Sharon Stone, will be donated to the non-profit Larry King Cardiac Foundation. Established in 1988, the charity provides funds to those who would not otherwise be able to afford life-saving heart procedures.
The famed talk show host served as Executive Producer on Gotta Love The Holidays, along with his wife Shawn King. Producer Bruce Roberts wrote the "Gotta Love The Holidays" title song, which was arranged by Grammy-winning 143 Records chief David Foster. The album additionally spotlights a country arrangement of "Gotta Love The Holidays," also performed by Shawn King.
Other memorable selections from Gotta Love The Holidays include a rendition of "The Christmas Song" by Celine Dion; "Step Into Christmas" by Elton John; Barry Manilow's "I'll Be Home For Christmas" and "Silent Night" by Natalie Cole. Newcomers Michael Buble, who is also releasing a 5-song holiday EP titled Let It Snow on Dec. 9, and Renee Olstead contribute "White Christmas" and "Blue Christmas" respectively, while famed keyboardist Jim Brickman performs "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear." Brickman also plays "The First Noel" as background to Sharon Stone's resonant reading of "T'was The Night Before Christmas," where she is joined by Larry King.
