  1. Charice is really amazing. She sings like an angel. I am so proud of Charice. I wish Charice the best. I hope that she will get a recording cotract. I am waiting for Charice’s single/album here in the US. Thank you David for giving Charice:)

  2. Thank you David for giving Charice a chance. You, Oprah and Ellen all have big hearts:)

  3. Thank you David Foster for believing in Charice. She is unbelievable! So talented, so powerful, down-to-earth and such a sweet child. I wish her all the best. Looking forward to seeing more of her in the future.

  4. I have had the pleasure of seeing Charice sing at David Foster’s Show in Vegas.
I cried when I heard Charice sing. There are no words to describe the beautiful
sound which resonates from her tiny body. If Angels can sing, Charice is what they sound like. She has an amazing life ahead of her. I also had the pleasure of meeting David Foster in 2005. He is also an amazing person. God Bless!!!

  5. David, since Charice inspires so many people, I even heard that a woman was so inspired that she did not push on to leave her children, why not make Charice’s album an inspirational one. An album with songs to inspire people wherever they are in life. I believe this is Charice’s mission in this world and her unique interpretation of her gift.

  6. I would like to thanks a million to David Foster for giving Charice a chance to sing in America . David you are the best thing that ever happened to Charice . She really have a powerful voice. More power to your career Cherice and i hope your journey here in America will last long, God Bless David Foster and Charice.

  7. With your guidance and support, Charice will be the next star…You truly are the star maker…God bless

  8. WOW!

Oprah, you’ve just put together the very best few marvelous moments in T V history I have ever seen! Being Canadian, and a musician myself, I have always thought David the very best producer anywhere on Earth, and I know of his great heart for bringing the very best out in musicians, and his marvelous care for people, and seeing clearly that look of delight in his eyes as Charice touched that highest note in Celine’s song, made my heart sing — Charice, already you are bringing so much joy into the lives of so many people, even people like Oprah, David, and Celine Dion, another Canadian, a Quebecois — and my absolute favorite female singer in the world! I bought her last album the day it came out, and first in line outside the door!

Charice, it pleased me a great deal hearing you speak of prayer, for that was a part of a message I left for you on your own web page, a few months ago: “Stay close to God, for He shall never do you wrong!” I thought as I looked at this get together of the very best in music, how very beautiful a young girl you have become, and how silly the others who thought otherwise of you must now feel, seeing how lovely AND how talented you’ve always been — it was just they could not then see it! But you knew it, and your Mom knew it, and God began to put a plan together, that your dreams would be fulfilled, and you’re experiencing that now! Two aspects of your life are becoming stronger and more incredible, as you continue to grow in so many ways!

A 59 year old man, who sadly has lost his wife and family, now looks at you as a lovely little one I cherish in my heart so much, and I want that you grow into all you truly deserve to become! The strength is from God, but the faith to seek onward and upward is in you! I shall always pray for you, and I believe that prayer is the key in the hand of faith, that opens Heaven’s storehouse! Continue in it always, striving for your dreams, for as you reach out with all your might for the things that are most important to you, other things move into your life, making you happier, lovelier, and even more loving towards all about you. I see you becoming the most talented vocalist in the world. Keep praying; don’t let anyone put you down ever again — don’t forget you’re worth it ALL, and the world is already seeing that! God bless you, little one! It would be great to meet you and hug you one day!

  9. Hello,

  14. I am so lucky to have witnessed incredible things happen to ordinary people such as Charice and her Mom. Charice is truly a gifted singer and a godsend angel to warm our hearts and to remind us there is nothing impossible when we BELIEVE in HIM.
I have read so much comments from people who saw Charice’s performances. Some of them are people who never sent out fan mail and never admired any artist to this great a magnitude until now. Some of them are in ther 50s and 60s male and female alike. Some of them tried to learn how to use the internet, or just opened their first accounts on you tube and myspace just to be able to be reach out to Charice.
One man in particular just got laid off from his work few days before Oprah’s show was on. This is the one where Charice met Celine Dion. This man was feeling down and sorry for himself, very depressed because he was laid off from work. He became one of the 600,000 people jobless in the U.S. this year.
When he was flipping channels and chanced upon Oprah’s. He saw this little girl and thought he will tune in for a minute. But he was mistaken, coz the show took him for a heart warming trip in his life.
Through Charice’s life story he saw a tiny person with very strong determination and the will to succeed. Despite her oppression she comes out confident and hopeful in life. He was smitten by her talent and got inspired to push for himself. I cried when I read his message. I was truly touched that a 50 something year old male was touched by an angel in the name of Charice. I also cried coz Charice is realizing her dreams through other angels whose names are David, the Filipino nurse who posted her first video on you tube. Ten Productions who invited Charice to Sweden to record 6 songs with them. Star King who invited charice to the show. The many Koreans and Filipino fans who posted and reposted the Star King show on you tube. Hollywood on E for featuring the Queen is Born. Ellen de Generes who made the connections possible and finally David Foster, Oprah and Celine Dion who will have the biggest influence in Charice’s career. Angels don’t always have wings and they have names like ours. God’s miracle certainly works in mysterious ways.
I am another fan who is truly inspired and touched by the turn of events in the life of this little girl Charice. When I achieve my dream in two years, Charice and Arnel Pineda (Journey) is the music behind that success story. Engraved to be remembered forever. I am a lucky person! Thank you Lord!

  15. Celine’s duet with Charice was a very spectacular one, and with the very enthusiastic crowd, the roof of Madison Square Gardens just went off last night. Whew!
I wonder what’s next for Charice? Will Celine invite Charice for another duet tonight? Maybe a guesting at Oscar’s or the Grammy’s?
David Foster, I can’t wait for the HIT MAN to come out.

  16. I’ve had the pleasure of attending numerous concerts by Josh Groban and over this past weekend I saw Charice in Edmonton at David Foster’s Foundation gala where over 3.8 million was raised to benefit his amazing and very important charity. There is something that most people experience when they hear voices such as Josh and Charice I can’t quite explain it but the feeling is almost like a moment of pure utopia. It’s just a moment but I live for those moments. Mr. Foster you said once that you have lost your perfect pitch but I don’t believe that for a moment because your ear has been the backbone of plucking these diamond voices and polishing them until they shine and even after 50 you’re still doing it! You have an amazing gift for inspiring new talent and thank goodness you have the heart to shape them all and share them all with the world. You are a living muse and it was a dream come true to even stand next to you at your wonderful Gala. Oh and also if you happen to get a chance to do this, Brent (I think that’s his name) your daughter’s husband was very kind to come out late into the night while we all tented outside of the River Cree Casino in Edmonton to wait for the star search event the next day. He came out and chatted with all of us so if at all possible could you thank him for caring enough to pop out into the cold night and make his rounds among all of us hopeful and excited people. The past few weeks have been wonderful and it’s all thanks to you.

  17. The story behind Charice is so inspiring, that it can be included in one of the chapters of Chicken Soup for the soul. We really followed her career. and honestly her story serves as inspiration to my family in terms of hope, faith, patience, and love for the family. Please David and Oprah don’t let go of this very talented girl, she will go a long way with all of your support and guidance. Bless you all !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. I’ve read somewhere that Charice will be on U.S. Tour with David Foster and Friends. Do you have details of this event already, like dates and venues? Thanks admin.

  19. It’s nice to hear that even just 1 out of millions of Filipinos is “blessed”. I had almost given up my hope for my country but Charice made me say, “still there is a chance to succeed in this world”. So far, she stood as the hope that shines in every heart of Filipinos lighting a dark path, giving strength to weakening lives of our countrymen. Folks, we can make it… Charice just did make it…

I hope that through Charice, people from all over the world will start to discover that there are lots of great things in the Philippines. So many talented, intelligent, hardworking & faithful people; wonderful places to live in. Keep watching the Filipino Channel and you will find out.

I love you Charice… Don’t ever be ashamed of where you came from… stay strong… stay humble… and God will bless you more….

  20. Thank you Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, David Foster, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli and FalseVoice for bringing to us Charice Pempengco, here in US. She is an amazing singer, with a great promise. I hope with your guidance and norturing capability, the girl can continue her quest for her “dreams”. Bless also her loving mother. Charice , with her Mom, is an inspiration to the world ……..on how to survive and be succesful despite hardship. ….that out there in the world are many people with big hearts.
    BLESS YOU ALL!!!!

  21. Yes ..I agree with all of the above >>But ,, Charice is NOT an original… Celine and mariah and whitney are Originals.. she is a copy,,,copies don’t Last.. I heard cuts from Her New CD and they are second rate.. smile etc.. she is better than the material they gave her.. and david Foster should have known that.. I will be very surprised if this CD sells… David foster did it in his lifetime ,, but now he is 60,,,he hasn’t developed a new artists for a long time.. and the record companies won’t because they don’t have the money to develope new artists.. and believe me we need them,,, alot of artists are Hacks… david Foster should have checked out jonathon Burket and anne Bartee,, now these two are not hacks… on garageband,,, jonathon Burket could write diane warren under the table,,, check him out,,, my opinion only,,,, thanks for reading this

  22. Charice is just starting. She never had any formal training other than her mom who is an amateur vocal coach. Charice is singing her own version of her idols’ songs, therefore she is not a copy cat. David Foster is in the process of honing her innate talent and skills and bring out the best in her. The original compositions will come after that, I believe. For some people to critize her like the above comment means she is viewed like a pro and at par with big stars. What a compliment! I am happy for Charice.

  23. You maybe happy,, but it is the sales and the promotion that will tell the tale,, If you think that people will not give their opinion ,, you are a consumer and not is the Business,, or probably a shill for Charice,, Copies don’t last,, originals do,, that is why Celine lasted she was discovered by her husband and he got loans to finance her first CD,, He knew she was an Original,, and of couse it paid off,,Charice Learned to singing by singing with Celine,, we all have to have a guide,, that is why she sounds like her,,, I can’t believe that David Foster said to Oprah to wait afew years because she was to young,, Wait??? You are 60 mr Foster,, what do u want her wait for ,,are you retiring??? we need good talent,, as their are hacks out there ,, and record companies are not developing new talent because of the cost and time,,, only time will tell if this talent is a lasting one,,, I wish me ,,,and jonathon Burket on garageband the best,, it is time for us too,,, anne Bartee furgurl@lycos.com

  24. i think what Anne Bartee…whatever her name is, dos not realize is using the word “copy”. Does Charice sound like Celine or is trying to? Do they have the same vocal texture? I don’t know what your point is. Celine did a lot of covers and one that really brought her to international fame is the cover of “Power of Love”… Anne, maybe your out of touch, but that wasnt her original. Also the Bolton song “How am i supposed to live without you”.

I suggest Anne should just keep her thoughts to herself because her thinking out loud is only showing how “ignorant” she is in her opinion.

So Anne….you can’t be an iota of a talent compared to Charice and wow that must hurt.

  25. so now it came clear to me that Anne Bartee is pushing a talent, and in fact a struggling artist herself.

so this is why. nobody is paying attention to you, your band or your boy toy, right Anne? and now you are so JEALOUS of all the attention on this talented girl you call “copy”.

just because you, your garage band or your boytoy can write songs means you are “original”. i have worked in the music industry for a reasonable number of years and i have seen people like you so consumed in believing they are “talented” with so much TRASH original songs…. and i often wonder who the heck told these people they have got it?

now i realized you belong to that group of people.

let me tell you with all honesty and this should stick to your mind. if you are that original….. how come no one is paying attention????

  26. I love to hear Charice sing and I am hooked to U-tube, replaying her videos in Korea, Ellen, David and Friends and Oprah. However, I would really love to hear her sing her own original songs and I hope that Mr. David Foster can come up with great songs for Cahrice.

  27. Bartee, being original does not mean you are good. It is not a guarantee. Tsk, poor you, come here let me give you a hug honey.

  28. Bartee, I listened to your music. Now I understand why you are bitter towards Charice and resented David Foster and Oprah for not recognizing your talent. I am very sorry. But hey, it is not the end of the world. Try to have a positive outlook in life and be happy for others too. Good things begets good things you know.

  29. Thank you Mr. David Foster for helping a talent like Charice. I never missed a day not watching Charice on the net. She drives me into tears everyday. Helppp! I always end the day by listening to her rendition of Because You Loved Me with Celine. My daughter has just turned 2 and learning about Charice’ story made me strived more …. to become the best mom I could ever be to my 2 yr old. Her duet with Celine ‘Because You Loved Me’ will be our theme song from now on. That song will be forever remembered because of Charice’ rendition. Thanks David and Charice for the inspiration! I love you. I hope you can come here in Tokyo for a concert tour! God Bless both you!

  30. I need to hear Bartee’s music. And will see from there. I havent heard anything from her music. I dont even know till now.

and Bartee - too bad Oprah is managing Charice now with David F’s support. Charice dreams just came true singing with Andrea B and Celine. How about you? well, good luck on your garageband.

  31. I mean, Bartee’s music is …. ammmm, uhmmm made me think very hard. Like mmm, I can’t figure out what music style she is trying to create. Is it broadway? or ballad with a twist of something? The instruments are mmm … it is strange experience listening to her music. Original? well, I have not heard anything like it. It sounds like a mixture of an already existing originals crossing 2 different genres hoping to come out as a new original genre. She’s creative in that sense and strives to become unique. She can’t be happy for other artists who are getting recognition and she’s insulting people who are icons in their respective fields. She’s a looser! I’d give her two thumbs down.

  32. Charice’s voice has made everyone of us to listen by heart…touch our souls and gave us an inspiration and strength to live and to see how beautiful life is…..

  33. anne bartee says:

Sounds like these people that are answering my blog ,, can’t speak english and are probably foreigners,, BUT I can tell that the responses are fans Not in the Music Business,, I have had alot of success and if you listen to my music ,, put my name Anne Bartee in google and go to my sites,,, Charice is a copy and if she gets a hit record I wish her the best,, if anyone had Oprah and David Foster behind them they have a great chance to get a hit,, but it is the public and the sales that judge,,, only time will tell,,,, Charice is NOT an icon ,, she is a talented Kid,,, Celine is an Icon,,, get your facts straight… that is why she makes 100 million a year,,, she is an Original and Rene knew it when he signed her and put his house mortgage on the line to finance her first record ,,,yep,, a great artist and an original,,,, not a clone

  34. Bartee, noone is disputing that Celine Dion is an icon. We all know that Charice is a very talented kid and we are happy that she’s got David Foster’s mentorship and Oprah’s backing her up. We wish her all the best. She’s got our support too. Goodluck to your musical career…

  35. anne bartee says:

Thanks ,, I wonder how long this RIDE will last,, ??? That is why Celine has lasted so long and made so much money,, Rene knew it and the public accepted it and she was an Original,,, I heard some of Charices countrymen sing and they all sound the same,, Celine Clones,, Charice is a very lucky girl since she has Oprah and her power managing her,,, all this would not have happened if she didn’t get the proper people to promote her,, Charices mother cannot sing,,,I heard her,, her daughter has the talent ,,, and she will make her alot of cash to upgrade her lifestyle,,,the American Dream,, Yes ,, this is the American Dream… the power and opportunities of the United States,, God Bless the USA

  36. anne bartee says:

one last thing…seems David Foster ,always picks the same type of singer,, the big songs with the big hooks ,,,high range to give impact to the performance,, He needs to find other artists that are unique and original not clones,, if he is to keep his career up,, but does he have to??? Nooo he has done it all and had a full life,,, marriages , awards ,,has it all ,,,Now what????

  37. Bartee, in the Philippines in my opinion, one is regarded as a good artist deserving of praise and attention if you do a great job of cover songs, at least in the early stage of your career or pre-career I should say. When you have proven yourself you could do a job as good as Celine Dion, Whitney Housten and the likes, whose vocal prowess are just amazing, then the Philippine audience give you a well deserved accolade. Only then they are willing to hear more of you, and this is the chance you can slowly infuse your creativity and originality.

Hollywood and European musical standard and trends are what the Filipino people want. They idolize famous foreign artists and want their local artists to prove to them they are as good if they can do what their idols can do. In essence, it is quite a challenge for the local artist coz of the highest standard set upon them. Considering the lack of technology in the Philippines, one has to rely on the pureness of one’s voice and talent to be able to sound really impressive. The set back is that if you don’t get a good manager/agent you will get stuck in being a great copycat.

  38. Bartee, I believe that if one has a higher purpose, one will get more blessings from the higher supreme. David Foster, Celine Dion and Oprah are examples of these type of people who do not only think of themselves. It is not all about them. It is about what they can do to help other deserving people, or another aspiring and budding artists like Charice, or the community, perhaps the world. It is when you give that you get twice as much back. I think that is a beautiful feeling to be able to be of service to mankind, the sick, the poor, or help someone make their dream come true, just like Oprah to Charice.

Besides, Charice really has the talent, the charisma. She is so courageous, down to earth and just happy-to-be-there type of a kid. At the same time she never ceases to impress the crowd whereever she goes. She can easily steal the scene from any famous and already established American/Canadian/European artists. She has the ability to tap into your deepest soul and make even adult males cry. I read all kinds of blogs from people all over the world about how they have been inpired by Charice’s talent and moved by her lifestory. She is so much fun and joy to watch. Very addicting. We do not have any artist like her in the U.S. or anywherelse in the world. She’s unique in that sense.

As to original compositions, David Foster is incharge of that. Hopefully when she turns 18 y.o. in 2010 (as I heard from other people), that David Foster intends to launch her as an adult. We will be an honor to hear some of Foster’s new compositions that will be created just for Charice. I wish her all the best and David Foster that he will be continuously inspired by her and come up with yet another hit song(s). I have faith in God and in both of them. I am not alone in that I am sure!

  39. Anne Bartee, stop bashing Charice. Let’s make peace and love.. Christmas is near so let’s all be happy.

Just wanna thank David Foster, Oprah Winfrey and Celine Dion for being generous to Charice. God bless you all for allowing Charice to showcase her singing prowess in your country.

  40. Thanks to you for helping little Charice. You’re amazing. May be, can I have your direct email address? I love to write you and Oprah also. Please, please.

    Thank you again.

    Grace Mojado

  41. Mr. David Foster, I hope you and Ms. Oprah will be able to pull some strings and have Charice to sing during Pres.-Elect Obama’s presidential inauguration. If God is willing this happens, I also wish she will sing the song I BELIEVE by Fanstasia Barrino. This song is about believing and not letting go of your dreams until that day comes …. very appropriate for Barack Obama, for the African Americans, for all Americans, and for Charice too. Thank you and may God bless you and your family.

  42. To Anne Bartee:

I just listened to your music and your a good artist.

But you cannot compare your talent with Charice.

Charice may be covering songs but she arranges them on her own style and interpretation that actually over shadows the original artists.

That’s why there are composers and arrangers.

Like Mozart or Bach… they’re long time gone but their music is now being interpreted by conductors who may arrange the score to fit the genre and times.

How about a car… can you imaging driving a model T in 2008? That would suck won’t it?

Anyways… ask Charice to sing her ABC’s and she will turn it into an emotional roller coaster ride and you are helpless but to go on with the ride like you have never experienced before. That’s how great and talented Charice is.

I think that after you listen to Charice, you just want to adopt her. Her mom must be so blessed to have her as a daughter. David Foster will be a good father to Charice.

God Bless all those who love and support her.

  43. David Foster,

Just to let you know, I got my copy of the HIT MAN. Wow, it has my
all-time-favorite songs. You are very blessed with enormous talent. I have been listening to your music since I was in grade school. I just never found out who the magic man was behind those hit songs. Thanks to Charice, now I get to know more about you and your work. May God bless you and hope to hear more hits from you, esp. with Charice.

  44. ann bartee…. those people responding to your moronic emails are not just simply fans… i am not a simple fan.. i worked in the music industry.. i know a talent when i see one.. i was involved in A/R so i used to get a ton of original compositions…. i get to hear a lot of disoriented individuals like yourself who believe they are talented… i see in you almost same as we always see during auditions at american idol…. thousands of them, even supported by friends and family and when they start to sing…… cutting steel with nail file would be better than hear them sing… i wont waste my time checking you out or listening to you… your character is devoid of anything pleasing.. therefore. i can almost imagine what kind of songs you write or the music you make…..

you, unfortunately is more than just a ’sick talent’…. you are a piece of something not even suited to be displayed in landfills….. really… you should be called the Queen of the Flies!

  45. Sorry my english. ann bartee , music come from love and passion. This little girl know about it so she can turn original songs into something magic, something make ppl cried. I, 35yo man listen music a little bit but I cried as a kid when hear she sang. Huh I thought it should be a magic. Your heart’s full of hate and jealous, your music never touch ppl’s heart. And you go nowhere.

  46. And I love if she cover all good songs. I’ve just heard she sang “to love you more” and I surprised why I was not interested the song before

  47. ANNE BARTEE I HATE YOUR ORIGINAL MUSIC.

  48. ANNE BARTEE …… I HATE YOUR VOICE TOO.

  49. Ann Bartee, not much to say.. weired songs with the weird voice, out of this world, I hate it .That’s all.

  50. David, I hope you will consider “When you tell me that you love me” in her new album that you are preparing for Charice. She sang this in Pomona on August. I watch the youtube over and over again to this song because I think this is one of the most romantic song that Charice ever sang. Thank you a million for taking care of Charice. She is an angel.

  51. I love Charice way back on LBS Singing Talent show. Then and now, I`ve been addicted with her voice, can`t stop listening over and over.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vV9iECBPkpc

  52. Dear David,
I just recently puchased (2copies ) the HITMAN and has been watching it over and over again and listening to it everyday while driving on my way to work and back home.I enjoy it very much. I’m giving the other copy to a friend for christmas.
Thank you for giving opportunities to new talents like M.Johns and young Charice ……I think they are terrific and incredible. With you behind them …..they really are the future superstars. I salute you David Foster you are a GREAT ONE !!!!! AND YOU TRULY ARE A MUSIC MAKER…..
for Charice —she is a real deal and she is going to go very very very far
    I love you David Foster

  53. Anne Bartee…i will never waste my $ on your music and voice. it doesn’t sound pleasing to ears..maybe you should consider a new career. Charice has the magic effect on people besides her golden voice!

  54. charice rocks! i can’t believe when she sung “God Bless America”, she gives me the chills and the people here can’t get enough of her. She sung it from the heart with so much power and emotions! and to anne bartee stop talking trash, tried listening to one of your songs and gee, heaven forgives, YOU SUCK!

  55. anne bartee says:

AH YES.. all the fools come out of woodwork when one gives a truthful review,, people who say they are in the music Business and never made it and can’t sing a lick,, well babe,, I can sing a lick,, and have been very successful at it too,, now where is charice today??? and where is the big CD?? get on with it david.. the fans are panting for their so-called idol.. the ones without any lives.. and if this music makes them happy,, let them buy and make cute little charice rich,, she deserves it ,,, from where she came from,, tally Ho ,,,

  56. anne bartee

3 words to describe your music:
    piece of shit!

I listened to all of them, can’t believe I did that. But you really suck and your music suck too.

stop hating because god didn’t possess you with any talents.

btw, I am a caucasian american, if that makes any difference.

  57. ^I agree with above statment….

suck royally…hehehe no wonder you are hating. Go get a regular 9 to 5 jobs like normal people otherwise, you will be a starving artist for life….LOL!!!

  58. Anne Bartee,

You are the lowest person I’ve ever encounter in my life! One piece of advice and you should listen very very well to this….

Shut your trash mouth and get a life! You are one of the reasons why theres a lot of misfortunes happening right now in the world. Person like you should be dumped elsewhere before you can spread your venomous spit and create havoc to a humanity! You are nothing but a peice of SHIT compare to this little music wonder Charice! Time will come that you’ll going to eat your own words! Mark my word! It is comming to you very very soon!

  59. Anne Bartee is a great talent and singer.. and an American,, all these fools on this site that have responded negatively are obviously foreigners and would Love to be and live in the greatest country in the world AMERICA,,, not some third world country,,, god Bless the USA,,,

  60. anne bartee, those without talent are usually bitter and are in denial. You are like those American Idol rejects who resort to back mouthing and tantrums. I feel so sorry for you. You harbor negative energies …. that ain’t good for you my dear.

  61. TO: ANNE BARTEE … i listened to some of your “ORIGINAL SONGS” and “ORIGINAL SONGS OR NOT” im sad to say, “YOU CANT SING AND YOUR VOICE SUCKS”…….EVEN IF YOU GIVE ME YOUR CD FOR “FREE”, ILL NEVER LISTEN TO IT. SORRY, IM JUST BEING HONEST!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU…..and if you want to know ” IM FULL BLOODED CAUCASIAN”!!!

  62. anne bartee says:

The non talented fools making these negative comments are NOT ARTISTS and singers .. they are not in the busines and are not crediable to make comments ,, I am,,, I am a singer and a good one and have a track record… Only time will tell if Charice sells CD’s … as I said before ,, with original material and a young producer,,, YOU the public will judge if you love the artist and the material.. wait until this CD is released and then review and pass judgement.

  63. anne bartee says:

  66. anonymous says:

Your Star Spangled rendition was one of the best. You sung it with a tone of patriotism and so much soul. Listening to it makes me feel like it is my own anthem too. You are just superb.
Oprah’s twitter acct said you’ve done taping today for the May 18th episode. I heard you blew the roof off of the studio. Gush, I can’t wait to see this episode. I am counting days again.
Take care and keep soaring high …..
With much love and best wishes to you and Daddy D., Mommy O, and of course your dear mother Raquel and Carl.

TO: Anne Bartee. I have read your several posts and I’m appalled and very embarassed for you. You have insulted a fellow artist and others who have posted to this site. Who are you to think that you’re better and above everyone else here? First of all, you can’t write proper English and/or a proper sentence. You have poor grammer and you’ve insulted other folks on here for assuming that they are foreigners because you think they can’t spell. Have you read your posts? I have taken offense at your stupid posts because I am a foreigner who has worked hard to get 2 Master’s degrees. At least I’m doing something productive with my life rather than sitting at home bashing folks for the genuine talent that they have. Be careful. I happened to stumble on this post and I’m sure many people will. You’ve just hurt your career. Poor you who will never make it. What comes around goes around. Remember that. Secondly, because you are a self-proclaimed ‘great artist’, you are now the expert in this field? Clearly, there have been an abundant amount of postings from people who recognize and appreciate a real talent…cover or not. You are just a pathetic and horrible person who is lost in this world. You think your music is great but are you going on a world tour or singing with other icons? I’m sick and disgusted of people like you who talk trash and don’t respect others. Get a life idiot!

Charice’s first single NOTE TO GOD is finally delivered and oh boy! I could not stop listening to it since May 18th. Her rendition is soulful and full of emotions I can’t help but cry. I’ve download my copy from iTune. Rocorded or live she always give more than a 100%. She has improved a lot since less than a year ago. I can’t wait to buy her first CD this fall. Congatulations Charice, David Foster, Diane Warren and Oprah.

  69. Mr. David Foster I want you to know your awesome person! Thank you for helping Charice P. for everything you do for her and family. She’s very fortunate to met someone very loving and caring person like you. The phillippine people will never forget your kindness forever.

  70. anne Bartee says:

well I got the reaction I wanted .. I love it.. Charice finally has a stylist.. and looks great.. Great material and david foster did a great arrangement on her Note to God… now we are getting someplace.. so now david .. I can’t wait to hear the rest of the material you are getting Charice to sing on her CD.. and we shall see if it sells.. yep… diane warren needed another hit ,, it has been sometime… good choice of material for Charice… now we shall see were she goes from here… yep.. I was right… anne bartee

  71. Anne Bartee, it is clear to me that you are just sour graping because little ones like Charice soars these days and not you. I’ve searched for you on the internet to give me some validations. All I saw were newsletters and postings made by you alone. Your name does not even appear on Wikipedia-site where I normally read bios on famous people. I cannot say bad words about you. I just simply have nothing good to say about you.

I am a foreigner, God bless America for the hearts of David, Oprah, Ellen, and Celine, for seeing Charice, because she sings with a heart and through her soul. You, Anne Bartee, will simply fade away… because you have no heart.

  72. anonymous says:

Charice, I love your version of “I’ll Be There”, I hope this will be included in your debut album in the U.S. it definitely has the appeal to both the very young and adult fans of yours. Just what David Foster is looking for. Great job!

  73. begoodenblues says:

To Anne whatever, I’ve just finished listening to all of your music that I could find online (which is not that many). The recording is sooooo BAD (and I do have a very good sound system but still…) and your voice is… well, you stay on tune but that’s it, there is no life, no soul, no emotions, nothing in it that would make me want to listen to you again. You’re being delusional girl. Reading your posts reminds me of someone I knew who wanted to be an actress, all she would do was criticize others that actually were making a living of it, well, she never made it. It’s called Karma (if you don’t know what it is, Google it.) All I can say is GET A LIFE, on which planet have you been living lately. How dare you comment the way you do on a David Foster website? If you expected to be noticed this way it worked, but not in your favor - BIG TIME - Don’t even try to compare yourself to Charice, she’s only seventeen but has sung with some of the best in the business, participated in so many events and concerts that it’s getting hard to keep track, acted in movies, signed a recording contract with Warner Brothers, given so much money to charities already, etc, etc, etc… She has millions of fans around the globe (Italy, Korea, Philippines, United States, Great Britain, France, all over Europe, Dubai, Middle East, all over Asia, South America, Africa, ETC…) while when I checked your Facebook account, all I could find was 4 (four) fans, most likely the other members of your band. I can’t even find you on YouTube, nor Wikipedia, nor anywhere… There is more talk about kitchen refuse than Anne Bartee. Have you ever sung at Madison Square Garden on public invitation of a world renowned performer? I don’t think so, and never will you… Those top personalities in the industry wouldn’t put their names and reputations on the line if Charice didn’t deserve it. The thing is, everybody on this blog and elsewhere is looking forward to hear her sing or to meet her because she brings joy to people who hear her sing. You…, I don’t want to hear about you, I don’t even want to read you, get off this site and go practice because you badly need it. You could start by trying to cover some of Charice’s own songs (yes, do some research instead of talking nonsense, you’ll be surprised…) then after years & years of practice MAYBE you’ll get close to her level.

Our world has to many people like you, envy and jealousy are two of the biggest sins.
We definitely need more people like Charice, She’s like Heaven on hearth. As a well known personality whom I can’t recall the name said about Charice after hearing one of her performance:

She doesn’t have a gift from God, She is a gift from God.

Well.., I’m not a believer but I believe it.

You still have a lot to learn about life young lady, take a chill pill and move on with your life. Don’t waste time, life is short…

  74. Oh, oh, Miss Bartee, please can I have your autograph?

Yes, you see I need it for the self-commitment papers for your entry to the UCLA Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital.

You have been convicted of fraud, Ignorance & Stupidity, lack-of-talent, and a lack-of-compassion by a jury of your peers. “Stupid Beyond Words” will be your epitaph. Next to you, a rock or a box of hammers looks damned brilliant.

Anyone in the world, especially Charice, has more talent and potential than anne bartee (and why do you refer to yourself in the third person? Because you are your PR person?) Face the music (as it were) and find another line of work. Looks like Al was thinking of you:

“Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
    Albert Einstein, (attributed)
    US (German-born) physicist (1879 - 1955)

Bartee, don’t go away mad…just GO AWAY! Oh, that’s right, you are quite MAD….

  75. anne bartee says:

hummmm….looks like susan Boyle has beaten all these comments on charice,,with a hit CD and a future movie… simon Cowell knew it in 5 seconds and this is an ORIGINAL artist …move over charice ,,, subo is here and she beat the age barrier…. she sings as well as I do… it will be interesting to see if david fosters CD with charice will do as well as susan boyles ,,, 2 million in a month … now THIS is the test and all these fools who posted negative comments lets see if they put up their dough for the great charice … I wonder if these folks who claim they sing and are in the business and alot are not,, some sell Real estate ,,, real estate ,,,what does this fool know..??? property?? music .. yo ho ho… put your dough up when Next year the great Charices CD is released and that will tell the tale… bet you she won’t outsell susan Boyle and will be quickly forgotten in afew years ,,, but not susan Boyle ,,,she is an Original and an inspiration to the world ,, she is the great Dream of success,,, sit on that one fools/////

  76. To Anne Bartee,
I believe you just simply don’t like Charice. Earlier you started this exchange by saying that she is not an original coz she doesn’t have an original song and just sings cover songs. You even made yourself an example of an original artist singing original songs. But now you’re saying Susan Boyle is an original even if her songs are OLD favorites or standards.

And while others are comparing the little girl to her idols, you have the nerve to compare yourself to Susan Boyle and say that she sings as well as you do. I love Susan Boyle and the way she bowled over the prejudiced and the cynics. I wonder how Susan Boyle will react to your negative comments on another who had been marginalized like her. She probably wouldn’t touch you with a ten-foot pole. Most likely beat you with one.

You also said you are an “American and all these fools on this site that have responded negatively are obviously foreigners and would Love to be and live in the greatest country in the world AMERICA,,, not some third world country,,, god Bless the USA,,,” it was you who started the negative comments in this thread. I also believe, no one is as American as the American Indians who were here before us. Your ancestors obviously came from somewhere else and perhaps from ’some third world country’.

Pardon me but it’s either you’re just plain prejudiced or a racist. I won’t be surprised that you hate President Barack Obama just because his ancestry is from Kenya…….a third world country.

By the way, Bartee is of German origin. Your ancestors migrated to North America between mid-17th and mid-20th centuries due to poverty and persecution based on religion. I’m still searching if there’s an officer in Hitler’s Arian army with this surname.

There’s only one fool in this thread. I rest my case.

  77. anne Bartee says:

wrong again.. bartee is not German,, and believe me I am a full blood american… well we shall see if I am right,, the CD is released now and the question is :”can charice outsell Susan Boyle?” only time will tell and if the public that buys CDs is the real test ,, no any of us ,, but the sales,, this ought to be interesting,,, I bet charice will do alright but not like the impact that susan boyle had ,,,only time will sell… by the way,,, I am a great singer,,, and have performed all over the world,,, I am a crediable person to voice my opinion,, People are tried of fools that are not in the business and provide Koolaid opinions,, put your money up guys and send her sales soaring ,,, to prove my point,,,

  78. anne Bartee says:

the world is looking for something new…they are tried of the whitneys, celines , etc …that is why susan boyle made it big,,, she was fresh and new,,, and it was GOOD music,, she wasn’t 18 and all the koolaid that people in the business think that youth brings .. she bought years of working on her craft and real talent,, and then there is charice.. a singer with a voice ,,singing to celine,, original…not … a copycat… but give her some original material and lets see if she sells and outsells susan boyle on amazon in a matter of weeks,, put your money up boys and make her sales go beyond susan boyle to make david foster proud before he retires ….

  79. Well here it is 2010 and Charice is still going strong. She has sung with so many world wide singers in so many countries. And now she has been invited to be on “Glee” this coming season. That sounds pretty successful to me. I have listened to every song that Charice has sung that is on You Tube and all I can say is that she is amazing. Not only does she have a great voice but it is the emotion and how she delivers a song that stirs the listener. I think she is here to stay!! People just love her…….well, except for Anne Bartee.
