For this year in October, Foster, who had been by the the chance of being Japan after 16years for an Asian tour, wanted to collaborate with an Asian singer. Choosing MISIA, he praised her with for a “voice equaling Mariah Carey or Celine Dion”

From her early childhood on, MISIA had been growing up with the music produced by Foster and expressed her joy on co-starring with Foster: “With a casual advice, the song became more dramatic. It is an honor to receive this kind of power from his music.”y

  1. They left out some good stuff:
Love Theme from St. Elmo’s Fire- For Just a Moment is the vocal version by Skylark member Donny Gerrard and Mike McDonald’s wife Amy Holland
    Through the Fire- Chaka Khan
    Forever- Kenny Loggins
Wildflower- Skylark (yes I know he didn’t write it but it was his first “hit”)
    Who’s Holding Donna Now- DeBarge
Nothin’ You Can Do About It- either Airplay or Manhattan Transfer
We’ve Got Tonight- Kenny Rogers & Sheena Easton (or What About Me by Rogers and Kim Carnes with James Ingram)
I guess it’s due to the rights from the various record companies. Maybe we’ll get a box set of the many great songs (and gems) Foster played, arranged, produced/ or wrote. He even played and arranged such hits as On My Own, That’s What Friends Are For, Turn Your Love Around, The Girl is Mine, etc.
